A nice place to meet - this is the concept under which the image stand of the North Rhine-Westphalian Carpentry Trade Association inspires communication. Visitors can experience the material wood in its natural materiality directly and authentically.

A photo of a wooden disc is enlarged onto the entire stand area and printed on coarse particle boards. The wood tone of the panel blends with the print to create a picturesque effect. Through the risers following the annual rings, the printed form achieves three-dimensionality and invites the viewer to linger. The selected exhibits attached to the back wall can be experienced vividly: seeing, hearing, feeling and smelling. The entire stand is scented with wood. An African mask hangs next to a docking station for an iPad and is an inductive loudspeaker. A sound experience of a wooden sound specially produced for this trade fair can be heard.
Wood chips invite you to come and feel them.
At a computer workstation, the visitor can virtually change the exhibition stand with a simple 3D program. Prefabricated scenes turn the trade fair stand into a garden, a wellness area, a living room or a dining area. A violin case as a journeyman's piece shows the high craftsmanship and quality of the wooden material – as a storage case for a precious violin.
