Daylight with light and shadow makes architecture appear three-dimensional. Their structure, materiality, colours, projections and other special features are taken for granted. At night, this three-dimensionality can only be perceived if contours and structures are artificially illuminated.
The aim of the holistic lighting concept is to structure and functionalise the street and the buildings with different lighting objects, lighting directions and colours. In this way, connections and directions become recognisable and special features are accentuated.
